The Shift in Instagram Live Archiving
Instagram Lives are great for real-time engagement, but once the broadcast ends, the video disappear unless the creator specifically chooses to save it to their Live Archive or post it as a replay to their feed.
Saving Your Own Broadcasts
After your Live ends, tap the download icon on the top left or go to Settings -> Archive -> Live Archive to view your broadcasts from the past 30 days. From there, you can save the MP4 directly to your device storage.
Downloading Someone Else's Live Replay
If a creator posts their finished Live stream as a standard video post to their feed, you can copy the sharing URL and use our Video Downloader to download the full-length video recording in MP4 format.
